In a move that can only be described as the most adorable (this writer's favorite animal in the whole wide world is this one), research scientist Jack Kassewitz has discovered that the iPad's touch-based interface can also be used by dolphins.
With this discovery, Kassewitz is now using the iDevice, loaded with custom-developed software, to help bridge the communication gap between humans and dolphins. Kassewitz found that the iPad's touchscreen mechanism could be accessed and controlled by dolphins with their "beaks" (it's officially referred to as a rostrum) and could also record and playback their high frequency sounds that they make underwater to communicate.
