iPad Connection Issues? Turn Up Your Brightness
Many iPad owners around the country have been experiencing Wi-Fi connection troubles that we reported earlier, but a user on the Apple Discussion Board believes that the problem can be fixed by simply turning up the brightness on the LCD display.
This somewhat strange remedy seems to be working. User batzgam says, "I was looking at some pictures a few minutes ago and realized the screen was very dim and remembered that I set it to minimum brightness last night. I turn the brightness up and didn't think much of it. After a few minutes, I picked up the iPad again after it had gone to sleep and for the first time today, it immediately had a network connection."
If you're a user that has been struck with this interesting issue, this solution may be a temporary fix until Apple can get a software update out the door.

The iPad is not a laptop, not even close. It was designed to be a device even more portable than a laptop, but used for media.

And my first car, a piece of junk '72 Chevy Caprice, wouldn't operate the windows unless I was going 60 mph.
The difference is that I bought it for $500, less than an iPad.
Maybe that what Steve Job's meant by "Magical".
