Apple has released the latest iPhone Software Update. The latest bug fix/security enhancement brings us up to 2.0.2.
We're installing the update right now. We'll keep you posted if it causes chaos, makes us crawl under our desks, and weep uncontrollably until someone promises cake if we come out.

Just updated to 2.0.2 and things seems to be running smooth for the moment looking for something to come with the update because i feel a little jaded the last update it was said a free app was offered from the apple which if am not mistaken was the remote. now I already had the remote with update 2.0.1 sooooooooo where's the free app promised.

GPS

Here's hoping this update will fix my basically non-functional GPS. As it stands, it'll work once or twice, and then stop locating me. A hard reboot "solves" the problem, and I get one or two more chances.
what I learned thus far 2.0.2

what I see thus far from the update is old news: when your on the web using the iphone to see another page you had open a new page. New news: now you have arrows at the bottom that move forward and backwards within the same page so it's almost like instead of having the recommended 8 page open you now have 16 pages if used right. also look at the bottom right on the iphone and as you continue to add pages within the same page you will see the page number count doesn't rise
DId the update fix the visual voice bluetooth issue

Can you now listen to your voicemail with a bluetooth headset yet or do I have to wait for the next update for that
App Store Updates

The new update no longer permits "Update All" of your applications that require update. You have to individually update each application. There is also a known "bug" that prevents some of your 3rd party apps from loading appropriately after the patch. They appear to load and then suddenly the iPhone reverts back to the home screen. This can be fixed on certain apps by deleting and redownloading the apps. I also noticed that the problem occasionally fixes itself after a few failed openings (ie you attempt to open an app, it fails, open another app, then try the first app again). Apple has stated that an update will be made available in September to fix this bug. Time will tell.
