iPhone 2.2 Rumored to Drop November 21
The latest update to the iPhone could be just days away. The folks over at iPhone Hellas have reported that their highly reliable source tipped them off that the update will appear November 21. One can only hope that copy and paste will be added, but it's unlikely considering the feature has yet to make an appearance in the latest beta releases. Still, we can always hope for a last-minute surprises.
The list is still impressive as it stands, new features include:
- Google Street View in the Maps app
- Google transit information, walking directions, and location sharing
- Line-in audio is activated and can be used through the headphone jack
- Safari is rumored to get a new look
- App store will also get a visual makeover
- the ability to download podcasts while on the go
As always, we should treat this information as a rumor and not hold our breaths.

Whether its a rumor or not, if there is an update it better a free one.
I'm not happy about shoveling out ten bucks for the last update and I'm not ready to do it again.
Yeah, I know, its only ten bucks but still, why should I have to pay for updates for software on hardware that I already own?
I mean if its a completely new version like a new os or something I can understand, but just a .x update? No those should be free of charge.-Kevin Duncan
