avatariPhone 3G S in the Mac|Life Newsletter

Mac|Life made an odd statement in the latest Mac|Life Newsletter (Issue 56) about the new iPhone 3G S. You stated "U.S. pricing will be $199 and $299 for new and "qualifying" AT&T customers with a new two-year contract. (Apple didn't specify what this means for old iPhone owners.)" I would love for Apple to announce a plan that discounts an upgraded phone for old iPhone owners, but why would they? History says it doesn't work this way; for that matter, neither does computer hardware when a platform is upgraded. I'm not sure why Mac|Life or anyone with the old phone would expect anything other than having to pay the full price for the new one. Best of luck applying some gentle pressure to Apple though!
