Life: It's seldom fair.
Promotions go to people less deserving than ourselves. That special someone you've finally worked up the courage to talk to is found to already have a boyfriend. Loved ones are torn from the pages of our lives. Worst of all, adding the churning perplexities of the human condition is the fact that the Apple Store has bumped new iPhone 4 pre-order ship dates to July 14.
I know. We're all a little weepy over here too.
Earlier today, we told you about the fact that AT&T had suspended pre-orders for the foreseeable future due to yesterday's insane number of pre-order purchases reducing their ordering system into a blubbering heap on the server room floor. The announcement of the July 14 ship date is Apple's second tactical logistics retreat in as many days.
What does it all mean?
People really like the iPhone 4.
If you haven't already pre-ordered the iPhone, chances are you definitely won't see it until after July 14. Gizmodo is also stating that some customers that managed to complete the pre-order process yesterday are getting emails that they won't be available to pick up on launch day, or that their orders have been completely cancelled.
