The iPhone 4 continues to work its way across the world, and Saturday it will finally land in China, with Wi-Fi intact and available at two more Apple Retail Stores in that country.
Apple issued a Sunday press release to announce that the iPhone 4 will be jumping across the Pacific this Saturday, September 25 to make its debut in China beginning at 8:00 am local time in Apple Stores and China Unicom retail outlets “for qualified buyers with a new, two-year contract.”
“iPhone 4 will be sold in China through Apple’s retail stores for a suggested retail price of CNY4,999 for the 16GB model and CNY5,999 for 32GB model without a contract,” the Apple press release notes. “At China Unicom stores, iPhone 4 will be available for qualified buyers with a new two year contract, sold separately. For pricing and tariff information please visit www.10010.com.”
As MacRumors notes, the Chinese iPhone 4 comes complete with Wi-Fi, which was unavailable on earlier devices in the country due to local regulations there. The site also features an unboxing of the Chinese model courtesy of MICGadget.
Apple fans in China will also have something else to celebrate on Saturday, with the new Hong Kong Plaza store in Shanghai and the Xidan Joy City in Beijing opening their doors on the same day.
