Alongside the abundance of iPhone 5 rumors has been just about an equal amount of "iPhone 4S" rumors. The cheaper iPhone 4 would be released along with the iPhone 5, in what is appearing more likely to be an October launch. The phone would contain different components and less storage in an effort to lower manufacturing costs. But one thing that may not be different? The case.
Mac Rumors reports that despite the familiar casing, it looks like Apple may be taking advantage of the opportunity to make some adjustments to the antenna design.
The purported "iPhone 4S" will have two antenna breaks within the bottom of the casing. What makes this different is that the AT&T iPhone has antenna breaks in two spots, along the lower left side and top left sides. Verizon's edition has them both on the top sides of the casing.
The "iPhone 4S" also seems to have a slot for a SIM card, leading one to believe that the phone will at least support GSM technology. Most rumors have the iPhone 5 supporting both GSM and CDMA, but nothing has been set in stone yet for this version. The mute and volume switches also seem to be on the same side of the casing as the iPhone 4.
