China isn't the only country getting the iPhone 5 this month -- Apple has just announced the handset will debut in South Korea and a dizzying list of other worldwide destinations over the next two weeks.
Apple has announced the iPhone is headed to South Korea this Friday, December 7, and will arrive in 50 more countries the following week, bringing the total to nearly 100 only three months after its debut.
In addition to South Korea this Friday, Apple will start offering the iPhone 5 in countries such as Brazil, Russia and Taiwan the following Friday, December 14 as part of a huge year-end rollout of its flagship handset.
The complete list of December 14 countries includes: Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Ecuador, Grenada, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Jordan, Kuwait, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Montenegro, Panama, Paraguay, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela. iPhone 5 will also be available on Friday, December 21 in Barbados, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Egypt, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St.Vincent & the Grenadines, Tunisia, Uganda and Vietnam.
The Russian rollout in particular is interesting, as it ties into our report earlier today that Apple will be holding an invitation-only, music-centric iTunes event in Moscow on Tuesday, December 4 -- just 10 days before the iPhone 5 touches down on Russian soil.
