Hope you set the alarm clock and got your iPhone 5 preorder in early if you're hoping to have FedEx or UPS bring it straight to your door, because the shipping estimates from Apple's website have already slipped to two weeks.
MacRumors is reporting that preorders of the iPhone 5 from Apple's online store are already showing a two-week shipping delay following an apparently healthy tidal wave of early adopters flooding the site overnight.
In a post made only an hour after the preorders went live at 3:01am EST, shipping estimates quickly shifted from next Friday, Sept. 21 to available to ship in two weeks in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany and Australia.
Of course, there's still hope for getting one next Friday, Sept. 21, assuming you want to venture out with the unwashed masses at an Apple Store near you. There may also be salvation by going straight to the online stores for carriers AT&T, Verizon or Sprint.
