This idea is simply ridiculous. You simply could not have made such a device in 1991 at any price. The author seems to have figured that if it takes 1000 Intel 80386 processors to match the power of the A7, and that would cost $600k, then let's simply add up the numbers. Let's forget about all the research and intermediate steps in manufacturing that have occurred since 1991. That's not relevant, after all.
