iPhone Trade-in Numbers Skyrocket

It looks as though Steve Jobs' Wi-Fi SNAFU hasn't deterred iPhone loyalists from lusting after the latest edition of the handset, as InformationWeek reports that the trade-in volume for older iPhone handsets has jumped up by almost 1000%.
Informationweek came by their figures by way of Gazelle, a company specializing in gadget-for-cash recycling. According to Gazelle's Kristina Kennedy, after last year's debut of the iPhone 3GS, the company recieved 141 trades for the phone on the same day that the handset was announced. This year, on the same day as Steve Jobs' iPhone 4 announcment at WWDC '10, Gazelle took in more than 1000 requests to trade in iPhone 3GS, presumably towards cash that will be used to spring for a new iPhone 4 handset.
It looks like the Reality Distortion Field is fully operational.

Why would an overloaded Wi-Fi network deter someone from buying the, soon to be, best mobile phone on the market? What is going on with the dumba** Apple hating comments on MaclIfe?
Hey Seamus. Why don't you and Matt go troll for another website.
