iPhone Under AT&T's Control Until 2010

USA Today, the graphiest of all the national papers, interviewed AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson about AT&T and its relationship with the iPhone and Apple.

It's the usual, Steve Jobs is king of the world, the iPhone changes everything, the iPhone helped dozens of orphans find homes, type of article. Until you get towards the bottom of the piece.

According to sources, the AT&T/Apple alliance has been extended for one year and will expire in 2010.

So if you've been counting down the days until you can get an iPhone without joining the AT&T network, you're going to have to reset your clock.
