iPhone/iPad OS 3.2 Beta 3 Out...Or Is It?

If you blinked, you missed it. No word yet on what transpired, but for a
brief while this afternoon, Apple released the third beta version of
the iPhone OS 3.2 which is what the iPad will be sporting.
But
then, just like that, it was gone. Whither our beta, Steve?
Of
course a few developers did get their hands on the software, and there's
still tantalizing possibilities of a camera, as this Ars Technica post
informs us. Whether this is a camera built into the iPad, as many so
apparently desperately wish, or whether this is a functionality designed
for USB-connected cameras no one can say just yet.
But rumors
abound as to why the SDK was pulled in the first place. In some
quarters, the belief is that a camera will be the big opening day reveal
when the iPad is finally rolled out. Other commenters instead opine
that the software contained a major -- and overlooked -- bug that Apple
needs to address.
Perhaps morning will bring us our answer. For
now, Apple is maintaining the traditional wall of silence.
