Iron Man 2 Game Jets into App Store

Just in time for Friday’s debut of the movie sequel comes Gameloft’s Iron Man 2, available in separate editions for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.
touchArcade is reporting that the new Iron Man 2 game is finally showing up in the U.S. App Store after getting a head start in several international markets last week. The game is a tie-in to the movie sequel that hits theatres on Friday based on the popular Marvel Comics character.
Gameloft has chosen to make Iron Man 2 available in different versions -- the iPhone or iPod touch version is a 240MB download priced at $6.99, while the iPad-optimized version is priced higher at $9.99, and strangely is a smaller 212MB download.
However, touchArcade doesn’t seem to be sold on at least the iPhone version of the game: “Iron Man 2 seems to be just about everything you'd expect from a movie tie-in iPhone game made by Gameloft. The dialog isn't great, gameplay seems surprisingly linear, and while flying around as Iron Man is pretty cool, the whole thing just feels like your typical movie game.”
A quick glance at the App Store reviews finds a different story, with users giving the new apps an average of four out of five stars, with the iPad version ranked just slightly lower than the iPhone one -- which might have something to do with it being released after the iPhone version, since most casual gamers won’t be likely to make the same purchase again.
Anyone out there in MacLife land suiting up as Tony Stark’s alter ego and playing Iron Man 2?
