The movie may soon be heading to second-run theaters, but kids can now relive all of the fun of DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted with a new interactive storybook from the folks at iStoryTime.
iStoryTime has released Madagascar 3 Movie Storybook Deluxe, a new universal app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad which allows kids to relive all the excitement of the animated film long after they've left the movie theatre.
Following the original plot of the movie, the Movie Storybook Deluxe app revs up the storytime experience with the “Afrosize Yourself” bonus feature that allows fans to utilize the face tracking features of iOS 5 to make themselves look like one of the new circus crew members in real time. Afrosize Yourself works with the back facing camera to capture their parents or their friends as well as front facing camera to take photos of themselves.
Fans can also take to the air and test out their balancing skills with the new “Tight Rope” activity where they get to use the accelerometer capabilities of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to walk from one side to the other without falling.
More than just a digital book, every page is enhanced with character audio from the movie and visual effects. Kids will love turning the lights off on Inspector Dubois and hearing Marty the Zebra scream with laughter.
Featuring Auto Play, Read To Me, and Read To Myself narration options, Madagascar 3 Storybook Deluxe follows Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo and Melman the giraffe while they are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent -- Madagascar style.
Madagascar 3 Movie Storybook Deluxe is now available from the App Store for $4.99; the universal app is compatible with all devices running iOS 4.2 or later.
