Kung Fu Panda 2 is heading to theatres on May 26 starring the voices of Jack Black and Angelina Jolie, but parents don’t have to wait until then to entertain their kids with a sneak preview of the sequel thanks to iStoryTime’s latest iOS app.
zuuka has announced the immediate availability of the Kung Fu Panda 2 Storybook app for iOS, a $2.99 universal app that brings all the fun of the upcoming theatrical release to a storybook filled with images and audio -- including the voices of stars Jack Black and Angelina Jolie.
“We’re very excited to bring our Kung Fu Panda 2 fans original movie images and narration from Jack Black and Angelina Jolie before the movie debuts,” said zuuka co-founder Woody Sears. “Adding such a fun and family friendly title reinforces our commitment of providing quality storybooks to our quickly expanding library of premier children’s digital entertainment.”
Kung Fu Panda 2 follows Po (Jack Black) as he lives his dream as the Dragon Warrior protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five -- Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. But Po’s new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu.
The Kung Fu Panda 2 Storybook is the latest entry in the iStoryTime line of licensed storybook apps for Dreamworks animated features, including automatic or manual page turning and the ability to choose the voice of an adult, child or no narration at all. The new app also includes a bonus “Create-A-Scene” feature, a digital sticker book that includes every kid’s favorite characters from the movie.
Kung Fu Panda 2 Storybook is available now on the App Store for $2.99l; the universal app is a 43.7MB download fully compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 3.0 or later.
