Earlier this week we told you about Apple excluding indie labels from releasing iTunes LPs because of price and limitations, but Apple has now clarified those reports.
According to MacRumors, Apple is now denying claims of charging a fee for the production of iTunes LPs. Apple said, "We're releasing the open specs for iTunes LP soon, allowing both major
and indie labels to create their own. There is no production fee
charged by Apple."
Of course, there are other places like iLongPlay.com and iTunesLP.net that been able to duplicate Apple's process for creating iTunes LPs, which are simple in nature.
