On Tuesday Apple released something called "Digital 45s" on the iTunesStore, causing us all reminisce about the good ol' days of vinyl. Okay, maybe some of us aren't old enough to remember vinyl, but it's still cool, right?
The basic idea behind Digital 45s is that you purchase two singles by a particular artist; one is a well-known song, while the other is a lesser known title. Back in the day, that second song was called a B-Side. You get a small discount by purchasing the Digital 45, with prices ranging between $1.49 and $1.99 for both songs -- the music is DRM-free with iTunes Plus and some of the Digital 45s even include Digital Booklets. Most of the current 45s includes 80s music from artists like: Michael Jackson, Prince, and Blondie.
You can check out all of the Digital 45s on the iTunes Music Store [direct link here].
