iTunes Version 9.2 Now Available for Download

Shhh... do you hear it? There's an iTunes update blowin' in the wind! Apple has released iTunes version 9.2, and it appears to be be chock-full of all kinds of goodness, much of which will prepare the software's users for the arrival of iPhone 4 and iOS. The software's version notes mention:
- Improvements to make album art appear faster while you're sifting through your library
- The ability to sync and read iBooks on your iPod touch or iPhone (provided you upgrade to iOS)
- The ability to organize and sync PDFs to iBooks. You'll be able to read your PDFs right inside of iBooks.
- Faster back ups to iTunes for phones or iPods rocking iOS
- Technical bits and pieces to allow iPhone 4 to sync with your iTunes library

If you're a Windows user and one software update isn't enough to keep you satsifed, Apple has your back. Along with their iTu c m,nes update, Cupertino also provided windows users a much-needed update to their MobileMe control panel. The newest version of the software purportedly makes a significant tweak to contact sync with Microsoft Outlook. Go download it!

They really went into detail. I find the iTunes DJ runs a lot more smoothly now which is cool. Also, the album artwork crossfades! Yay for itty bitty details!

After the update, iTunes freezes when I try to sync my iPod. Look out

Anyone know how to get iOS on a first gen itouch? Even if it just like 2nd Gen iOS, that would still be great

Your iPod touch already has iOS on it (it's just a new name for iPhone OS). But if you if you mean iOS 4, my best bet is that you're out of luck.
