The blogosphere is buzzing today with the real “Christmas miracle” of the tech world -- a tablet is coming, and it’s made by Apple.
There may not be a Santa Claus (sorry, kids!), but yes, Virginia, there may really, truly, maybe, possibly be an Apple tablet announced next month -- and in stores by March.
The Internet is boiling over with enthusiasm at the news of an Apple tablet to be announced next month in both a 7” and 10” size, according to The Boy Genius Report. That’s the word from one of BGR’s “very connected sources” with an “amazingly accurate” track record of past leaks.
“It has been widely reported recently that the size of the tablet is 10", but there was also talk about a 7" model,” BGR reveals. “Our connect said there is 100% a 7" Apple tablet, to be announced in January, and whether this is in addition to a 10" model, they don't know.”
If you don’t believe them (or us!), 9to5Mac is also reporting that The Financial Times has uncovered plans for an Apple event on January 26, 2010: “Apple has something big up its sleeve for next month. The company has rented a stage at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco for several days in late January, according to people familiar with the plans. Apple is expected to use the venue to make a major product announcement on Tuesday, January 26th. Both YBCA and Apple declined to comment.”
And by the way…we hear there’s a tablet coming out and it’s made by Apple. We hear it will be announced next month (maybe on January 26?) and in stores by March, according to “reliable sources.”
Maximum PC’s Gordon Mah Ung even broke his non-disclosure agreement (actually, four of them!) in a recent podcast to reveal that Apple’s tablet is indeed coming -- he saw it with his own eyes and claims it’s “bigger than a phone but smaller than a laptop.” It’s got a CPU, it features an Apple logo and it’s even rumored to run an Apple OS… of some kind.
In case you’re confused, there is apparently a tablet coming out and it’s made by Apple. While you wait patiently for that January 26th announcement -- as well as for the accompanying unicorns to fly down from the rainbows and prance up your street -- please enjoy the video evidence we’ve uncovered.
And remember, you heard it here first: there’s a tablet coming out, and it’s made by Apple!
So what you're saying is there's a tablet coming in January? Because I keep hearing this thing about an Apple Tablet coming next month... is that what you heard?
