Best Buy delivered some exceptionally good trade-in deals over the summer, and now TechnoBuffalo reports (via MacRumors) that it'll soon offer customers a $100 gift card to put toward the purchase of an iPhone 5s or 5c with a trade-in of any working smartphone. Keep in mind that the offer's not official yet--it was discovered via a leaked internal document.
According to the document (see below), the promotion will last from this Friday, October 11, through October 19. (If you're curious about the terminology, SAS stands for "stand-alone store.") In order to take advantage of the offer, you'll have to prove that you can turn on your device and that it can run.
As before, Best Buy won't accept any water-damaged devices or smartphones with cracked screens as a part of the offer. Should you manage to find the original packaging and accessories for your phone, it's possible you'll secure an even better offer. Already reserved an iPhone 5s with Best Buy? Don't worry; apparently you can still take advantage of the deal and apply it to your upcoming purchase.
Much as with one of the earlier summer promotions for the iPhone 5, this effectively means that you can pick up the iPhone 5c for "free," as the 16 GB version starts at $99.99. The iPhone 5s, on the other hand, starts at $199.99, which means you'll be able to pick one up for around 100 bucks through this offer. Now that I have a new iPhone 5, I might just to take advantage of that offer myself.
