According to the New York Times, Apple's big reveal of its new product line on Tuesday won't actually be that big. In fact, it looks as if Apple will only be announcing new iPods.
Although this bodes well for music lovers--especially those of who want to see the iPod Touch in (here's hoping) 64 gigabytes--laptops and desktops won't appear until a later date.
How this information pertains to the "mystery product/transition" is unknown. Chances are the transition will be a severe reduction in iPod prices. But of course, that's just more speculation.
We're still holding out for the DVR Apple TVs. Yeah, we're dreamers.
