Limited iMac Availability Could Herald a Refresh

One of the blog's readers sent AppleInsider a tip/complaint that both the 21.5-inch and quad-core 27-inch iMac weren't available for reserve or pick up in Apple's Buffalo, NY location. Elsewhere in the Empire state, shoppers lurking the stark lanes of Apple's 5th Avenue New York City store found that the 27-inch quad core was in short supply there, as well.
Could this mean a hardware refresh will be along shortly for Cupertino's all-in-one desktops? It's hard to say: While Apple has traditionally reigned in stock before a refresh, the company's website reports that both of the models mentioned by AppleInsider are still available for shipping within 24 hours of purchase. No doubt we'll have some answers in the form an announcement of faster iMacs or more of the same in the very near future.
