So every time you slap your iPhone 4 into your left hand, your calls start dropping. You could run out and buy yourself one of those fancy Apple bumpers for $29. But let's face it, you're a little cheesed at having to spend another 30 bucks to fix Apple's problem here. Enter this DIY genius.
We discovered this from TUAW who picked up on the iPhone Guru's tip that the Lance Armstrong branded Livestrong bracelents make a nice snug fit around the iPhone 4. With a bit of scissor work clearing out a the dock area, the ring mute button, and the headphone jack, the iPhone Guru created a near perfect workaround. While we're not necessarily as handy as the Guru, we have to applaud his skills and will be giving this solution a try.
While it's a little slicker than the Bluetooth keyboard for the iPhone, we have to say, we love it. We're big fans of DIY solutions here at Mac|Life, whether they be for camouflaging your iPad or a sweet little cabinet for old skool style gaming. If you can find a workaround that works for you, more power to you.

As an added bonus, your homemade bumper doesn't reward Apple for a questionable design issue, and the $10 Livestrong bracelet not only is cheaper, it's a nice little donation toward researching a cure for cancer. Plus, any of the popular wide soft plastic bracelets will do as well, allowing you to pick your color, just like the bumpers.
And before you ask, no, Silly Bandz are not an acceptable alternative.
