LogMeIn Pro2 Launches Mac Beta

Even though tons of us use Google Docs or some other cloud feature,
there's always that annoying moment when you want to work on something
and realize you created it and saved it to your work computer. Or you
stayed up late working on something at home, then get to work and
realize you don't have access.
LogMeIn solves that problem and
with the launch of LogMeIn Pro2 for Mac Beta, they've made it a snap
for those of us on the Mac end of the equation.
Allowing you to
link two remote desktops together to create your own mini-network,
LogMeIn Pro2 lets you take control of your home computer from work (or
vice versa) and print documents, share and transfer files, and likely
prank your spouse pretty hard when they have a day off and were
expecting to catch up with their favorite shows on Hulu. While the PC
version has been out for a while, the Mac beta is still ironing out
some kinks, so the developer is asking for beta participants to help
out with feedback.
Of course, for occasional users, there's
always LogMeIn's free version with fewer features and (the rather
pricey $29.99) LogMeIn Ignition app which gives you access to your home and
work computers from your iPhone.
As things are only in the
beta stage at this point, no pricing is available for the Mac version
of the software. However, with the PC pricing set at $65 a year that's
what we'd peg the Mac as costing.
