Hey, so what are you doing this Saturday? Are you anywhere near Petaluma, California? Well, if you're a Mac geek like us, October 6 means it's time once again to head to the annual Mac Computer Expo. If you're looking for a day of Apple overload, it's the place to be this weekend.
Now in its 19th iteration, the Mac Computer Expo is one of the biggest gatherings of Apple fans in the country. Each year, speakers and vendors flock to the event to present a day full of insight, shopping opportunities, and all-around Mac enthusiasm.
The entire day will feature panels and talks, including a keynote from Mac Observer's Jeff Gamet, and an in-depth discussion of Women in Tech. Plus, there's opportunities to win new iPads, or even recycle your old electronics properly.
But if we're being honest, we're most excited about MacLife's own Susie Ochs, speaking as a panelist on the round-table discussion, Parenting and Grandparenting in the Mobile Internet Age. Be sure to drop by and check it out; the discussion starts at 3:30 p.m.
Also, what would an Apple-focused event be without an iOS app? The free Mac Computer Expo app is available right now in the App Store.
The expo runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at Petaluma Community Center; parking is free. Early-bird tickets are still available for only $7, through the MCE site.
