MacGyver Yourself an iPad Sleeve
We're pretty big fans of duct tape. The day we can't find a roll around the house for quick fixes is a pretty dark day. We even buy it in fancy colors (red duct tape for special projects, blue for serious ones).
And the only reason we haven't plunked for an iPad is the cash. But let's say we sold our plasma, scraped together all the change in our couch, sold back some CDs (we'd already ripped), and used our last spare penny for an iPad. What would we do to keep our investment safe?
Taking a cue from duct tape dresses, duct tape messenger bags, duct tape wallets, duct tape ties, even a duct tape superhero outfit, and so on and so forth, Frank Hsueh put together a quick and easy iPad sleeve. Check out the pictures at TUAW.
Starting with a bubble wrap envelope big enough to hold an iPad, Hsueh covered that with everyone's favorite heavy duty tape and topped it all off with an Apple sticker from a shuffle for an elegant little touch.
Pretty ingenious is what we think. And once we've saved up enough of our pennies for an iPad of our very own, it might just be the sleeve route we take.
