If you've ever doubted the iPad as a musical instrument, wait until you see this app. Artikulator is a musical app--coming soon to the iTunes App Store--that allows you to slide your fingers across the screen to create audibly pleasing music, all the while creating visually stimulating animations on screen.
The idea is based on fifty-year-old idea of making sounds out of shapes and colors. You simply draw the lines of sound, and the faster your go the bigger the dots and sounds, which means the more intense the note. Check out the video from Mashable for a quick demo.
