Sadly, Comic-Con ended yesterday, but we've still got some good comic-related news! Today we're hearing that the popular and critically lauded digital pinball game, Marvel Pinball, will be coming soon-ish to iOS. The only release date so far is "by the end of 2012" but that's better than nothing.
Marvel Pinball is, well, it's exactly what it sounds like. It's a very high quality digital adaptation of pinball, but with a thick Marvel-hero theme. It was released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as a downloadable title back in December of 2010 to rave reviews from pinball fans of yesteryear and today.
It's being developed by Zen Studios who are pretty much the authority in modern digital pinball games, having worked on several other well-regarded pinball titles in the past.
Unfortunately, they wont give us anything to go on besides "before the end of 2012." We're not entirely sure what on Earth could take them so long to create an iOS pinball game (with their resources they could easily finish this project five times over by then) but who knows, it may be a product tie-in for an upcoming movie.
