MobileMe Getting Reading for Large File Sharing
MobileMe hasn't been the breakaway hit that Apple had hoped since being introduced. A lot of subscribers to the service had issues intitially. It seems though that MobileMe is finally starting to into the rhythm of things, and Apple is going to come through on new features.
A reader of The Unofficial Apple Weblog was nice enough to inform them that a notice had been put up on the Apple MobileMe page announcing that large file transfers are coming soon.
Soon a new feature in iDisk will make it simple to share files too big for email. iDisk will automatically send a message with a simple link. The recipient will just click the link to download the file.
As MobileMe stands now, you can place files in you public folder, and other Mac or PC users can see the folder and if they have access to your iDisk. Not the easiest way to sharing files, but until Apple launches the large file transfer on MobileMe, it will have to do. Or, you can just use FileChute.

FINALLY!! This is the reason why I got MobileMe, and was EXTREMELY disappointed that they took it out during launch.
