Many Mac users were angered by Apple's switch from matte and glossy screen options, to glossy screen LCDs exclusivley on most of their Macs. If you're a glossy hater, things are looking up. A new rumor circulating the Internet leads us to believe
that Apple will be bringing back the matte screens of the past. Not only do glossy screens cause reflections, but they can also cause incorrect color reproduction--something that designers and artists do not like.
Apple currently only offers a matte option on the 17-inch MacBook Pro, and even then the option is an additional $50. MacRumors reports, however, that Apple could possibly extend these build-to-order matte screen options to the rest of the MacBook Pro family. This would no doubt make a ton of people happy.
Of course, if you are someone looking to get a matte screen for your Mac you can always choose a regular Cinema display, which has remained matte.
