So you bought a MacBook air and the hinge broke. You could just take it to Apple and point out that your six alleged friends have had the same issue and that apple needs to fix the problem.
Of course, if you did that, you couldn't show the world what an idiot you are, and that while people are losing their jobs and cutting back on expenses, you can afford to get all stabby on your Mac.
A few notes. It takes a few stabs to break the LCD, the IBM has a darker screen, and AppleCare is cheaper than a new laptop. Let's just hope this guy never gets a pet he doesn't like.

First, he complains that the Mac Air sucks because he and his friends all had the same hinge break, that is bad but I can't help but notice that the darn thing was WORKING! He could type and still work on it.Second, the screen on the Macbook was far better looking and easier to read that the IBM block-o-plastic. Third, if he fixes things with a knife to the screen it make me wonder how the hinge got broken in the first place.I wouldn't be surprised if he lives alone he probably punched his boyfriend in the face to win an argument.

Alright, first time posting. Just to share I used to have a ThinkPad Z61P, very nice top of the line laptop, awesome graphics capability, Windows Vista Ultimate. I purchased my MacBook...not the Pro, just a plain white MacBook to learn the OS X as I'm a technical support rep that's been asked questions about that particular OS. I had NO plans to convert from the ThinkPad I knew and loved to the MacBook sitting on the abandon corner of my desk. Throughout months of learning the OS X my ThinkPad slowly began to migrate to that far corner of my desk and my MacBook became my primary computer. Being in tech support I knew how to troubleshoot Windows and keep it running top notch...but that's the thing...I had to keep it running top notch. The OS X system just works and works well. I sit down at my MacBook and its actually a pleasure to use. I am proud to say I'm such a Mac convert that I GAVE MY THINKPAD AWAY. So, this guy can be proud of killing a MacBook Air if he wants to, but hey, it's his loss. I would have traded my ThinkPad even up for that MacBook Air any day :)
This guy deserves a pc, after that act. And all the norton/mcafee crap that goes with them. A real Mac user would never do that to his/her Mac, knowing they are worth any pc winblows box
He could have just given it away. I would have gladly taken it off his hands. Apparently, it was more important to make a point while demonstrating just how much of a moron he is. Now he'll probably throw it in the trash and not even recycle it.
Who dropped $3K on a tricked out IBM laptop but got so fed up with Vista he took it back to his local national electronics store with the yellow and black sign to exchange for a MacBook Pro. They wouldn't do it, said there was nothing wrong with the IBM. Recalling he had purchased the insurance, he went out to the parking lot, DROVE over it, and returned the rubble. They applied the entire insurance benefit, less some small deductible, toward his new MacBook. He now has people all over So FL driving over there PC laptops!
So it evens out!
First of all, I doubt this guy even has 6 friends. Second, the odds of 7 friends 1) all having MacBook Airs and 2) all having the exact same problem are pretty slim. Third, in these economic times, when people are loosing their homes and their life savings, do we really want to see some jerk with a girly grip take a knife to an $1800 piece of technology? Sometimes the access of the average joe to the internet can be a bit much. This is one of those times.
I'm confused, is this a Pro-PC ad or an Ad for defective Knives. Three whacks to break it. I too am impressed. The difference being his divorced parents bought him the Macbook while his grandparents bought him the IBM bacuse they went to school together.
It's rather depressing to think that a dumb (well better not say) is able to blow so much money on his stupidity yet I am struggling to make it while having to support my father who is ill and trying to finish my education and I just got sacked. Brilliant!!!
