Remember when you could only find Apple Stores in the busiest hubs of the nation's largest cities? That's increasingly not the case, as evidenced by the detective work of tipsters at ifoAppleStore that revealed possible openings scheduled for Woodbridge, Virginia; Lawrenceville, New Jersey; and Farmington, Utah. The locations were determined by inference from job postings in the relevant areas.

Specifically, the new stores will be located at the Station Bridge Shopping Mall north of Salt Lake City; the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center Mall in Woodbridge, Virginia; and the Quaker Bridge Mall, located just five miles from Princeton University in New Jersey. (Want an Apple Store? Apparently it helps to be around a bridge.) Based on further clues from the job listings, the new stores will open before or around November in anticipation of holiday traffic. As ifoAppleStore, reports, Apple's recent reticence regarding the details of new locations makes such guesswork necessary.
Still, three new locations seem like nothing compared to the 30 or so locations that Apple announced during its second quarterly earnings call, but the bulk of these will go up overseas. As of right now, it looks as though only 10 or fewer of those will be opening in the States, and thus far, these are the only ones we know about. Instead, Apple has centered most of its efforts on redesigning (or, in the case of its flagship San Francisco store, relocating) around 20 of its existing stores.
