New Generation of iMacs May Be on The Way

Good news for those of you holding out for the iMac refresh. The long anticipated new generation of iMacs, which include the new NVIDIA graphics subsystems, may be on their way after all, according to MacNN.
Supplies of the existing iMacs are said to be dissipating, and major education discounts are being offered to clear out existing inventory.
Despite the news of slight tension between Intel and NVIDIA, the legal dispute over integration of the two won't prevent the new iMacs from hitting the street.

I'm a graphic designer and have had every tower that has been made. But, having said that I never once opened one up for any sort of expansion. I have also owned all the Apple 23" displays. SO, my question ... Will I be happy with a 3.06GHz InterCore Duo, 4 GB and ATI Radeon HD 4850? AND, can I piggy-back my current Apple ATI Radeon HD 2600 to it? I'm a software hog and often have six Adobe programs running, as well as many others at the same time. Thoughts?
