A forum user on a Chinese-language board WeiPhone, posted what seems to be a screenshot from a new, as yet unreleased or announced, iPhone. According to the fine rumor-gathering folks at MacRumors, the post has been up for a while and they've been carefully keeping an eye on the site. Like scientists studying a new life form.
The image contains the iPhone model number, MB717LL which allegedly contains 32GB of delicious space. The poster claims that the new iPhone will contain the following specs:
- 600MHz CPU Speed (up from 400MHz)
- 256MB RAM (up from 128MB)
- Digital Compass and FM
- 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus
- 32GB size
- It's magically delicious (We made this one up, fingers crossed though)
The poster says that the new iPhone's form factor won't deviate much from the current iPhone 3G and that the battery will be the same.
So how did this forum poster get his swanky new, not-yet-released iPhone? He has a friend at Foxconn. If only we all had friends at Foxconn, we'd be rolling in new iPhones.
