Thanks, and yeah I know I can, but I can't see spending over $300 on a video card for my Mac Pro that was top of the line over 3 years ago. Yes, there are work arounds for flashing other non-Apple approved video cards, but I depend on my machine working with Pro Apps and can't risk wasting time/money on a solution that might or might not work. (Not to mention third party plug-ins, software and hardware that's only meant to run on Apple compatible cards). This is why I'm waiting on a new Mac Pro because they will hopefully upgrade the graphics card options to something that is at least current with the plethora of other cards that are out there. I don't mind spending big bucks on a card, but when I do it should at least be currently top of the line.

@StoneCRM114,

You are aware that you can replace your video card with any number of third-party cards, right? You don't need to purchase a whole new computer to upgrade your graphics.

What about the Mac Pros?!?! I hate rumors.... :( I've been needing a new Mac Pro refresh (specifically for the graphics card) and they're still no where to be found. So much for an announcement in March. Now it's April and they've skipped the Mac Pro in favor of the 'Books. Just goes to show that Apple should spread their wealth and hire some people to work on their Mac Pros and Pro Apps. They've got enough on the iPad and iPhone. Unless they just don't care about their high-end market anymore.
