Videos of a new tablet game have been released showing a new game called Shadowgun, by developer Madfinger Games, running on a Tegra 2-based Android device. In short, the videos are borderline unbelievable as they display near-console quality graphics on a touchscreen tablet. The third-person shooter is likened by the developers to Gears of War and is said to eventually be coming to iOS as well.
There's not a whole lot that we can tell from the videos, but seeing the game in motion is pretty great. The developer notes that it's little more than a tech demo at the moment, but that we can expect this kind of console quality graphics when the game launches.
TouchArcade has noted that the iPad 2 is even more graphically powerful than the Tegra 2, so we should all be very excited to see what this game (and games that will no doubt surpass it) will be like when they finally release on iPad 2. The video also shows the game being played via an HDMI-out to an HDTV, and still looking fabulous on the larger display.
Aside from the footage which shows off a lot to be excited for visually, we know absolutely nothing about this game. However, we'll definitely be keeping this one on our radar.
