Could the long-rumoured, hopefully super-fantastic new version of Final Cut Pro, which Steve Jobs himself called "awesome," be just a week away from release? That's the word from Pro Video Coalition, who say that the big reveal will happen at the Las Vegas SuperMeet on April 12th.
If the rumors are true, Apple has flexed its considerable muscle, and ousted just about any sponsor who was set to get some stage time, demanding ALL stage time at the event. According to Pro Video Coalition:
Canon was told last night that Apple has demanded ALL “lecturn” or stage time exclusively. Some sponsors who were not using presenters may continue to sponsor the Vegas event, but none of them will be presenting on the stage.
Excitement for the next version of FCP, Apple's beloved video editing suite, is high, especially after Steve Jobs himself has admitted his excitement for the product, and key industry professionals who were granted an early demo, raved about the upcoming product. Here's hoping it comes out soon, and it really is awesome.
