New Xserve - Now with 100% More Nehalem
In the worst-kept secret to come out of Apple in a long while, the new Nehlaem Xserves are ready for action.
Available in quad-core and 8-core flavors, Apple says the new machines have a performance boost of up to 2x that of their predecessors. In addition to speed, the Xserve is BFR- and PVC-free, utilize a highly efficient power supply, and are constructed out of highly recyclable aluminum and stainless steel (continuing Apple's dedication to creating green products so Greenpeace will pick on someone else for a while).
As always, the Xserve comes with an unlimited client license of Mac OS X server. The new machines start at $2,999.

I'm liking this whole new system of Apple rolling out products whenever they want instead of waiting for MW or WWDC events.

It also has an SSD option that doesn't take up one of the removable bays.
