We're living in a world now where everyone has a camera in their pocket. And when life shows us something unexpected or exciting, we're quick to share those videos with the world. While uploading videos to YouTube from an iPhone or iPod Touch is already a fairly easy task, the new Capture app simplifies the process and adds some enhancements.
Capture is built for streamlining iPhone videos, ready to shoot your clip as soon as the app is opened. After you're finished recording, you can add a caption and the app immediately starts uploading to YouTube. The app also includes sharing functions to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
But what's perhaps more interesting about Capture is the ability to add various enhancements to videos.
"Have a shaky hand or bad lighting when recording your video? Touch it up easily with YouTube enhancements like color correction and stabilization, or trim the length and add free background music from YouTube," reads the blog announcement.
Another handy feature: Capture will remind you if you're shooting the video with your iPhone or iPod Touch in portrait mode. A nice addition, as YouTube channels are sometimes clogged with weirdly scaled vertical clips.
The videos currently on your device, recorded prior to the Capture app, can also receive the same enhancements before uploading.
