Next-Gen iPhone Revealed in Firmware
MacRumors found reference to a new iPhone in the iPhone firmware.
The iPhone designated, "iPhone2,1" appears in a string within the iPhone firmware. Currently, the iPhone 3G is designated "iPhone 1,2." The original iPhone carries the "iPhone1,1" moniker. This jump in version numbers has lead some to believe that the next iPhone revision will be substantial.
MacRumors also points out that at least one developer has noticed ads being served to the mysterious iPhone2,1.
Apple is rumored to have a team working on the their own ARM processor for the next iteration of the iPhone and that it could support Multi-Core CPUs, Multi-Core GPUs and will summon unicorns.

Sounds great. But for a traveler, iPhone will never reach it's greater growth with max coverage without Verizonwireless.

I'm waiting for the version of the iphone that you bring home, plug in to your screen and it becomes the cpu for your desktop. All one thing.

This should be awesome as I have been waiting for unicorn support ever since RIM promised the Blackberry Storm would summon unicorns but instead they only gave us minotaur summoning which just isn't as good. (How am I supposed to ride a rainbow on that?) I also heard a rumour that "iPhone 9,3." will add time travel however I will still have to write down the co-ordinates as copy and paste will still not be available yet.
P.S. Seriously if they just add a 32gb version I would be happy to upgrade from my gen 1.

I've been waiting for Feb. 28 for a long time (that's when AT&T says I'll be eligible for an upgrade on my account). Now I'm going to have to wait for the new version to drop. :( Maybe it'll be before then, but I doubt it."summon unicorns" had me rolling! Great stuff.
