While the iPhone still reigns supreme on the smartphone front, Google is busting out the big guns with its new Nexus One, HTC-built Android phone. Not really shrouded in mystery, the latest Android phone is imporant enough for Google to call together the press to announce the device. 

While we're certain Google will announce the availability and pricing of the new Android phone, what else will Google announce during its 1.5-hour event. A Google Tablet? Maybe a Google e-reader. Or perhaps, they'll roll out a new Chrome OS build. 

Whatever Google has up its sleeves, we'll be live blogging for our faithful readers. For this live blog we'll be using the Cover It Live service. Readers can comment on the event using their Facebook, Twitter or even MySpace login.
