Nike+ Heart Rate Monitor Heading For iPod Nano June 1st?
For our fitness gurus out there, news is out that the Nike + iPod Compatible Heart Rate Monitor is going to be seeing a U.S. release on June 1, according to AppleInsider.
The word is coming from a described "Nike+ Pro" on Nike's official forums. Of course the person was not keen to disclose why it's taken so long for the product to be released, but did announce the U.S. release saying that an international one could be expected later on this summer.
"It will officially launch (in the U.S.) on June 1, 2010, although it may reach some retail outlets slightly sooner," according to the writer, named Clover. "It will reach Canadian markets in June and will launch internationally in Summer 2010, exact date to be determined."
The source also stated they couldn't describe the price of the unit, its color, or even the device compatibility. But according to an update in the Nike + iPod user guide back in September, only the fifth generation of the nano was to be compatible with the upcoming heart rate monitor.
One can find the heart rate monitor in the Nike+ menu on their iPod. The "Heart Rate Monitor" option is under the Nike + iPod settings. Users are then able to wirelessly link the device with their nano.
