While it's certainly being assumed that the tablet will be unveiled later this month, the rumors about the product itself are continuing to stockpile. MacRumors picked up on information from Daring Fireball's John Gruber that the device will not include a camera. "And for what it's worth, I'm hearing there is no camera, webcam or otherwise, on The Tablet," he says.
Gruber in the past has offered up accurate information regarding forthcoming Apple products, most recently nailing Apple's October product announcements, the evening before their release.
Sources have been quiet recently about whether or not the tablet would even offer a webcam until recently. Webcam speculation increased tremendously on Monday when a France Telecom exec supposedly offered some confirmation of a tablet that would have a webcam, but company reps were quick to clarify that the comments had been misconstrued.
