The iPhone is now available without a new or pre-existing AT&T contract or ID at any Apple Store, according to Gizmodo.
Apple is reportedly selling free roaming iPhones to customers around the United States. The internal memo sent out to Apple employees states that customers do not have to be tied to AT&T to qualify for an iPhone and can purchase the device at full price. However, customers will only be allowed to purchase one iPhone at full price per day, or 10 during a lifetime.
The move comes at no surprise, what with Google selling its Nexus One HTC phone contract free on its official site. But the phone isn't unlocked and will only work on the AT&T network.
The price is $499 for the iPhone 3G 8GB, $599 for the iPhone 3GS 16GB, and $699 for the 32GB top model. Click the image below for more information.
