Since the debut of iOS 6 back in September, iPad users have lamented the loss of Apple's built-in YouTube app. But fear not, lovers of cat and other funny animal videos -- Google has got your back.
The Official YouTube Blog announced the availability of an updated YouTube app for iOS, finally offering a universal build for iPad as well as filling the screen of the taller iPhone 5.
And that's not all.
"Just in time for the holidays, now you can download or update the YouTube app with a look designed for the iPad and iPhone 5, enhanced AirPlay support, videos that start faster and play more smoothly, and improved accessibility with VoiceOver," the blog post noted on Tuesday.
"Enjoy Tastemade on iPad in full screen glory, or hours of flipping through Ryan Higa videos on your iPhone 5 or iPod touch."
With Google also pushing out a Gmail 2.0 update on Tuesday, it's a good week for Googlites who prefer Apple's mobile platform.
