Oh, And One More Thing, It's So On...Again! -- iTunes 9 Breaks Pre Sync

Yes, iTunes 9 breaks Palm Pre syncing. Again.
The back and forth is a bit tiresome, I'm sure,
for developers on both sides of the commercial divide. Pre programers
have to constantly figure out new ways around Apple's blocks of the
device's attempts to sync with iTunes. And Apple has to keep building
in further layers of code that stop this syncing.
As tiresome
as it must be for programmers, who might at least get something of a
cat-and-mouse thrill out of hunting out each other's weak spots and
plugging the gaps, for Pre owners who find they regularly need to
update their OS just to get that iTunes loving, it must be frustrating
on top of tiresome.

First, the Pre could sync, then Apple put
out iTunes 8.2.1 and stopped that nonsense. Palm didn't waste much time
and within a week, Pre owners were back to pretending they had an
iPhone.
Now with iTunes 9 out and busting up the Pre party,
Palm has quietly delayed release of their latest software webOS 1.2,
previously set to drop the day before Apple's event. The delay is
probably related to the developers getting cracking on a code that
hacks iTunes once again.
I'll bet you can guess what Apple will do next, can't you?
