Oh, Canada! iPhone 4 Delay Up North?

If The Great White North didn’t already feel slighted by not getting the new iPhone 4 on June 24 along with the U.S. and a handful of international locales, the Canadians may yet have a reason to shake their normally laid-back demeanor, assuming a new rumor is true.
9to5Mac is reporting that Apple’s iPhone 4 store page in Canada has made a change, and not one for the better. Canada is one of the countries that Apple has lined up for the second wave of the iPhone 4 invasion in July, and as such, the store page on the company’s site listed “Coming in July” appropriately.
It appears that as of Thursday, the same page now simply says, “Coming Soon” -- which is not likely to give Canadians already chafed at being bumped into July to begin with much comfort.
A delay shouldn’t really come as a shocker -- the iPad received a similar international delay by 30 days when the initial U.S. sales surprised even Apple. Given the insanity over Tuesday’s iPhone 4 pre-orders and the fact that new U.S. orders for the device won’t ship until July 14 at the earliest, we fear that our Canadian friends should brace themselves for more bad news.

We had to wait a year to get the iPhone. When the 3G came out, we had to wait another week. When the 3GS came out, we had to wait another two weeks. The iPad, we had to wait two months. And now we have to wait for the iPhone 4 too?! Come on Apple!

We also still aren't able to buy iBooks on the iBooks Store. Canada gets treaded like a 2nd Class country sometimes, especially when it comes to tech.
