Olympics on the iPhone
If you're anything like the staff here at Mac|Life, you have a hefty dose of Olympic fever. The only cure is non-stop, round-the-clock Olympic information.
Fortunately for sports lovers on the go, Lenovo and Intel teamed up to introduce the Lenovo Summer Olympics 2008 app in the iTunes App Store.
While there are no streaming videos available within the app (thanks for nothing NBC) you can check out photos, athlete profiles, news and blogs.
You can also check out news and videos from NBC's Olympic page. All you have to do is install Microsoft's Silverlight. No relation to Crystal Light.
Now, who's excited about today's whitewater kayaking competition?

I'm also a big nerd for the text alerts, which you can sign up for at www.nbcolympics.com. And there's an iphone-ready medal count here.
You can also Google "US Medal Count" for instant results without having to click through.

I've been keeping track of the results with Sports Tap, which is a free iPhone/iTouch app that also collects updated info for every major sport in one place. It's handy because the Olympic module is built-in and I don't have to clutter up one of my (FOUR! sheesh) home screens with another icon...
